In continuing to push boundaries in bathroom design, this year sees the unveiling of the brand new All bathroom range from Twyford Bathrooms. Constituting the next step in truly ‘all-inclusive’ design, the aptly named All range offers a perfect solution to the challenge of today’s increasingly large, mixed-generation homes by, quite simply, offering something for every conceivable requirement. To complement this pioneering range, Twyford also showcases its first solid surface material Varicor, along with the new Avalon Rimless extended back-to-wall toilet, Opal bath tubs, and the Twyford Tray collection.
All
Taking centre stage on the Twyford Bathrooms stand, All takes multifunctionality in bathroom design to a whole new level. Amid a backdrop of an increasing number of multi-generation households, All has been designed to meet the challenging demands of the modern family unit. Cleverly combining fashion and functionality, All is the complete option for everyone, designed to not only be easier and more convenient to use for all members of a household – including the very young, the old, infirm, and less able, but also to look superb in any contemporary bathroom setting.
The comprehensive range includes a cleverly designed bath complete with a large radius, arm rest and ledge and increased reclined back support, making for a more comfortable bathing experience, while aiding ease of getting in and out. Further items in the range include a toilet, basin and furniture unit, along with a raft of bath accessories including grips, grab rails, a head rest and a flat waste cover for added comfort and protection.
Varicor
Also on display is the recently launched Varicor; Twyford’s first solid surface
material for the bathroom. Made of polymeric compounded mineral, Varicor is fully coloured with a silky-matt, easy-toclean surface. Not only is it 
remarkably robust and shockproof, it is also anti-bacterial, pore-free, waterproof and resistant against disinfectants and commonly used chemicals. Furthermore, Varicor is customisable by colour and shape meaning that the material can be used for making different types of sanitaryware in various styles hence offering great flexibility. At Ecobuild, Varicor will be displayed in the form of a bespoke floor level shower tray, along with a one-piece basin specifically designed for wheelchair users.
Avalon
As the pioneer of Rimfree® technology, this year sees Twyford Bathrooms take its offer into the commercial sector with the Avalon Rimless extended back-to-wall toilet. Featuring a uniquely engineered water distribution system, the groundbreaking Rimless design efficiently removes all waste as effectively as a traditional toilet while the elimination of a rim means there is simply nowhere for the germs to hide, making the toilet bowl easier to clean and resulting in the need for less chemical detergents for cleaning. The result is highly optimised hygiene in line with HTM64, suitable for all types of commercial premises such as education, healthcare and hospitality.
Opal
Visitors will also get to see first-hand the new Opal acrylic bath available in the standard 1700x700mm and space saving 1500x700mm sizes. As the water efficiency issue grows, the standard bath is available in a clever water saving option, whereby a unique tapered internal shape enables a capacity of 130 litres, making for significant water reduction.
Twyford Trays
The brand new Twyford Trays are a comprehensive range of acryliccapped polyconcrete shower trays that provide strength and durability shown in a stylishly simple low profile design to enhance any existing bathroom concept. Flexibility of installation is also a factor as Twyford Trays can be installed flat to floor or fitted with coordinating leg-panel kits (available separately). The trays are available in a number of dimensions to complement all Twyford shower enclosures; with a choice of upstand or flat top versions.
