Plus X Award®: Oventrop „Regucor WHS“ Energy storage unit

The Plus X Award is considered to be the largest innovation award for technology, sport and lifestyle.
This award is bestowed in seven different categories:
Innovation, High Quality, Design, Easy Operation, Functional Efficiency, Ergonomics and Ecology.
– All of them so-called „Plus X“ factors as sign of highest brand quality.
The jury consists of more than 130 specialist journalists and market personalities.

The Oventrop energy storage unit „Regucor WHS“could convince the jury in five award categories:
• Innovation
• High Quality
• Easy Operation
• Functional Efficiency
• Ecology

Thus, the product „Regucor WHS“ got most of the prizes of its type. Therefore, the Plux X Awards jury additionally gave the stamp of quality „Best product of the year 2012“ to the “Regucor WHS”.

Oventrop offers the „Regucor WHS“ energy storage unit of modular construction (heating and potable water) for the supply of detached and semi-detached houses. The product group is a hydronically coordinated combination of:

• heat generator connection (for boiler, heat pump etc.)
• solar energy storage
• solar station
• station for heating of potable water (fresh water station)
• connection of heating circuit groups and heat generators

The multi-functional system controller „Regtronic RS-B“ ensures an optimized use of the solar heat and a weather guided supply of the heating circuits according to requirements. Moreover, it is possible to view and monitor the installation via PC or smartphone by connecting the unit to the Oventrop centralised building control system „DynaTemp CS-BS”.

Advantages:
• system of modular construction for existing and new detached and semi-detached houses
• system controller with flexible energy management directly installed at the storage cylinder
• hydronically coordinated components for heat storage and heat supply
• ideal realization of regenerative pipework configurations (solar, solid fuel, heat pump, etc.)
• flexible functions of the “Regucor” controller facilitate the integration of an existing heat generator
• an optimized loading device with regard to the return temperatures (heating circuit 1, heating circuit 2, fresh water station) produces a stable temperature layer in the energy storage cylinder
• connections of the product assembly at the lowest section of the storage cylinder, thus, lowest heat loss (lowest temperature level)
• high energy efficiency
• time- and cost-saving installation and piping through internal cabling, pre assembled product groups and only one connection level to the house installation
• product assemblies completely insulated according to the Energy Saving Decree

“Acrex Award of Excellence” for Oventrop valves

The combined regulating and control valves “Cocon QTZ/QFC” received the “Acrex Award of Excellence” in the category “Green & Sustainable”. The competition was carried out by the fair “Acrex 2012” in Bangalore (India).

Criterions e. g.:

• innovative design
• new technology
• quality of design
• material selection
• conceptional realization
• practicality
• utility
• environmental friendliness

The combined regulating and control valves “Cocon QTZ/QFC” facilitate a dynamic or automatic hydronic balancing. The valves are used in heating and cooling systems (e. g. fan convectors (Fan-Coils), chilled ceiling modules or induction air systems) with closed water circuits.

Advantages:

• constant, high valve authority
• differential pressure independent valves
• combination of several valve functions
• integration in the building automation in combination with actuators
• the “Cocon QTZ” valves can control the room temperature or other by means of actuators
• “Cocon QFC” valves control the flow during low demand periods by means of actuators
• sizes DN 10 up to DN 150
